Born in Maryland, Stephanie Guzman resides in Belcamp, MD with her husband and daughter. Stephanie received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Delaware and her Master’s degree in reading from Towson University. She is National Board-Certified Teacher working for Harford County Public Schools as a reading specialist and gifted and talented specialist.
When she began her teaching career as a second grade teacher, she noticed there were few books available for children addressing the many character development issues that are important today.
The Adventures of Oliver the Clownfish: Invitation Slip-Up is the first in her series of inspiring children’s books focusing on talking to friends when you have problems. The Adventures of Oliver the Clownfish: Acting Cool is the second book in the series dealing with friendship. The third book, The Adventures of Oliver the Clownfish: Sticky Fins, explores the issue of stealing and peer pressure. Through her books, she hopes to be a positive role model for children around the world.
